Sam Durant is a
multi-media artist whose work has been widely exhibited
internationally. He has had solo museum exhibitions at the Museum
of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, Kunstverein Düsseldorf, the
S.M.A.K. in Belgium, and the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery in New
Zealand. His work has been included in numerous international
exhibitions including the Whitney Biennial, La Biennale di Venezia,
and the Sydney Biennale. Durant works with Paula Cooper Gallery in
New York, Galleria Emi Fontana, Milan, and Blum and Poe, Los
Angeles where he exhibits regularly. His work has been the subject
of several monographic catalogs and included in numerous books and
publications. He has curated and co-organized a number of
exhibitions and artists benefits and is a co-founder of Transforma
Projects/New Orleans. His work can be found in many public
collections including The Art Gallery of Western Australia in
Perth, Tate Modern in London, Project Row Houses in Houston, and
the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
