Tory Tepp received a BFA in painting from Parsons School of Design, in New York City, with a concentration in Art History. In 1997 Tepp formed Satyr Studios in Atlanta, Georgia which specialized in the fabrication of steel, stone and glass sculptural furniture.

While in Atlanta, he volunteered his efforts to the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, The Bridge School, the newly formed Atlanta Arts Festival, and his own vernal celebration- The Rites of Spring. Satyr Studios is currently based in Frogtown, in a workspace on the LA River, which has become an active source of interest and inspiration for his work.
