Todd's Story

Currently, I am just beginning to create my first series of artwork. Within this 2nd year of pursuing Graduate Art studies at Otis, I am experiencing a breakthrough. I've always been interested in art as a vehicle for storytelling. Now I am concentrating my efforts as I translate oral stories, (referred to as personal experience narratives), into mixed media artworks on wood panels.

In addition to contempory daily life personal experience narratives, I have an ongoing interest in; Hurricane Katrina, riots and insurrections within the history of African diaspora, and folk/vernacular culture.
