Arts Manager, Department of Cultural Affairs
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Becky Snodgrass-Lambert received a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from U.C. Santa Cruz in 2001, with a concentration in the semiotics of visual culture and 20th-century art. Since then, she has been served in a number of capacities that advance the support of contemporary artists and artwork production, primarily as an Arts Manager for the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, acting as a liaison between artists, communities and government. Becky has also worked with the Sacatar Foundation, Itaparica, Brasil, has served on the Board of Directors and as President of the Foundation for Art Resources, Los Angeles, and continues her position as Associate Director of the William H. Johnson Foundation, Los Angeles. Of particular interest are initiatives that actively negotiate between public and private space, between communities and artistic specificity. Communication & Journalism.
